OUR HISTORY
SEASALT Europe was founded in June 2023, born from a shared passion for sea salt production and an unwavering commitment to preserving Europe’s millennia-old saline tradition.
Established by a group of visionary sea salt farmers, our association has rapidly emerged as the authoritative voice of the European sea salt sector. For the first time in history, our industry—deeply rooted in agricultural heritage and pride in our natural coastal environments—speaks with one unified voice before institutions and policymakers.
SEASALT Europe was created to strengthen, protect, and advance our industry, ensuring that sea salt farmers across the continent are properly represented and collectively equipped to navigate future challenges. Through collaboration and shared expertise, we champion sustainable practices while honoring the traditional methods that have shaped Europe’s coastal landscapes for generations.
